Hong Kong Disneyland Park review & information...
Hong Kong Disneyland main menu - 0845 003 2212

Our comments about the park...(from our March 2006 visit)

Hong Kong Disneyland has taken many of the favourite elements of all of the other Disneylands, added a touch of Asian culture whilst also creating some original attractions such as a Broadway style musical.

Although the park does not offer as many attractions as its Parisian or American counterparts there is enough to keep you entertained for a day or two. The close proximity of the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hollywood Hotel allows for an easy and well deserved retreat to rest those legs before maybe returning to the park to enjoy the evenings fireworks.  If you are able to book a park view room you could even enjoy them from your bedside!

The park includes 4 lands, Main Street USA, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland and Adventureland.  The major attractions include Space Mountain, Buzz Light-years Lazer Blast, the newly opened Autopia, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the Jungle River Cruise.  There are also a good selection of live entertainment including the Festival of the Lion King, Mickey's Philarmagic and a Broadway style musical extravaganza 'The Golden Mickeys'.  Fantasyland includes some of the best loved family rides such as the Mad Hatters Tea Cups, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Cinderella's Carousel whilst Tomorrowland now also offers 'Stitch Encounter'.

The daily parade was different to other Disney parades that I have seen around the world and was full of colour, life and huge floats.  The fireworks show in the evening entitled 'Disney in the Stars' is absolutely fantastic and offers a great way to finish your day.

What was really impressive about the park was the large selection of food options available, there was Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Western Grills and of course the usual theme park snacks such as ice creams and popcorn.  There has obviously been a lot of thought out into the wide tastes of the visitors from different cultures that will be eating in the park and it added an element of asian culture to the experience.

The quality of service received from the staff was very high, they are very attentive and will go out of their way to ensure that you have a great day.

Overall, this is a great Disneyland, with some unique qualities that has great potential for years to come.  There have been lots of rumors about new attractions being added over the next few years and as we have seen the addition of Autopia and Stitch Encounter within 10 months of the park opening it seems that more attractions are sure to be on their way.  However, the park already has plenty to keep the whole family occupied and the resort hotels, with their gardens, pools, spa, bars and restaurants help make the resort a fantastic stop - over or retreat from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong City and Kowloon.

If you would like to speak to me about the resort when booking with us please ask a member of staff.
